Gila Cohen-Shaw

BOARD OF ADVISORS

With over 25 years as a Speech-Language Pathologist, Gila has dedicated the past 14 years to revolutionizing telepractice. Her expertise spans early intervention, schools, private practice, and teletherapy, with a passion for making speech therapy accessible and effective. Gila is committed to empowering teletherapists, providing them with the tools and knowledge to thrive. As an active member of ASHA’s Special Interest Group 18, she remains at the forefront of the field. Additionally, Gila holds a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certificate and is training in Mindful Self Compassion, emphasizing her dedication to holistic wellness.

Karin Hartunian Koukeyan

BOARD OF ADVISORS

Karin "Ca-REEN" Hartunian Koukeyan owns Speak Better Now Consulting, a solo practice providing clinical, corporate, and consulting services. With over 20 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist, she has worked in schools, home health, outpatient clinics, early intervention, and private practice. She began telepractice in 2010 when its effectiveness faced skepticism, enabling her to work as a new parent. Excelling in telepractice for 14 years, she’s held leadership roles in special education and allied healthcare. Karin advocates for telehealth at local, state, and federal levels and serves as Associate Coordinator for ASHA SIG 18. She also hosts the podcast mini-series, "Telepractice: It's Not Just Screen Time."  

Christa Kulidge

BOARD OF ADVISORS

Christa Kulidge, a dedicated special educator for 40 years, began her career in northern Illinois, teaching special education students in grades 3-12. She later moved to northern New Mexico, where she taught high school special education, general education, and AP English. As a special education director, she led district initiatives in two districts, pioneering tele-services to support rural students lacking on-site providers. After nearly 15 years in Four Corners leadership, she relocated to Southern New Mexico, continuing as a special education administrator. Christa has served on advisory boards, executive boards, and state-wide legislative committees, including NM CASE.
